We heard from an Animal Ark adopter named Robin who shared this wonderful photo of Bruno (the dog formerly known as Simon). Robin reports that Bruno just started puppy classes and is getting along famously with the family cat and with his older “brother,” pictured here. Thank you so much for sharing your success story, Robin! If you’ve adopted an Animal Ark cat or dog and would like to share photos and stories, send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
And here’s a picture of Gerdie who went to her forever home today! If you’re kicking yourself for missing out on that adorable puppy, fear not. Animal Ark will bring puppies galore (and some dogs of the more “mature” variety, as well) to the Doggie Depot event at the historic Union Depot in St. Paul this Saturday! Join us from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 214 4th Street East in Lowertown. Enjoy the beautiful, restored train depot and of course immerse yourself in canine culture. Meet our volunteers, cuddle our dogs, and maybe provide a lucky Animal Ark resident the forever home they’ve been missing! Here’s a link to the event on Facebook.
And finally, an Animal Ark volunteer named Susan sent us these photos of her holiday visit with Ranger, an Animal Ark long-timer. Ranger is 11 years young and loves to play and also behaves like a real gentleman when being walked by our volunteers. Animal Ark staff scratch their heads over why Ranger hasn’t yet found his forever home; he’s a sweet boy with a lot of love to give. We encourage you to drop by our shelter to meet Ranger. Take him for a walk, play fetch with tennis balls, see what a good boy he is. We can’t wait until some lucky family sends us pictures of Ranger ensconced in his new home.
Thanks to Susan and all of Animal Ark’s dedicated dog volunteers for filling in as Ranger’s surrogate family until we find him a home. Your dedication is appreciated!
