We rescued Willow 2 from St. Paul Animal Control on Valentine’s Day, 2018. Nobody had claimed or stepped up for her. Willow is a 7 year old Labrador Retriever/Anatolian Shepherd mix who tips the scale at 80 pounds. “In spite of her size, she’s great on a leash and could walk all day,” says Volunteer and Board Member Denyse Madden.
While Willow 2 is not a cuddler, she loves being brushed. “You will get tired of brushing before she gets tired of being brushed.” In the time she’s been with us, we’ve found her to be devoted, loyal, and protective. Also instant doom for stuffed toys.
An ideal home for Willow 2 would have a huge yard, plus humans who love the out of doors and are confident, experienced dog parents. If your home has other animals or children, a meet and greet with the whole family would be in order. It’s really time for our friend to move from a kennel situation to a Foster Home that could lead to Adoption. Is your love big enough for this girl? Let’s find out
