We rescued Tiki from Minneapolis Animal Control in August, 2016. She is a sweet, 7 year old, Pit Bull/Boxer mix with the waggly energy of a puppy. Like Peaches, Tiki has adopted a family of Volunteers who love her to pieces and wonder why she hasn’t found a home yet. In fact, Tiki and Peaches are BFF and often walking partners, but she doesn’t get along with all dogs. If you have another dog at home, we would want to do a meet and greet to see if they click. If they do, they’d probably become great friends.
Tiki adores people of all ages and is especially fond of kids. She is eager to please and is a rock star at cuddling! She will strike you right away as a happy dog. “Tiki always looks like she’s smiling,” says Volunteer Karen Warrings. She has oodles of energy and loves to burn it off walking and chasing her ball.
Tiki is generally great on a leash, but she has a strong prey drive and can react strongly to other dogs encountered along a walking trail. She could be too much for a young child to handle. Other than that caveat, life with Tiki will be a joy. Her happiness is contagious. Come in, meet her, and fall in love!
