Signs of hope.

While the world remains a very uncertain place, Animal Ark is pleased to announce a first, tentative step toward returning to normalcy.

Animal Ark is pleased to announce that on May 7, volunteers can once again return to Animal Ark to work with our animals. We will of course exercise precautions. Volunteers must:

  • Wear a mask while in the shelter;
  • Wash their hands before going upstairs to the cat area;
  • Maintain social distancing with the staff and others;
  • Wipe down door handles (wipes will be available).

Volunteers who are considered particularly vulnerable to COVID should of course exercise prudence in determining when to return to their duties. We have not yet scheduled New Volunteer Orientation, nor have we opened to the public. Welcoming volunteers back to Animal Ark is a first, tentative step toward returning to business as usual.

Our Executive Manager and Board of Directors continue to monitor the situation and will likely make a decision about re-opening to the public after the governor decides to extend, or retire, the Stay-at-Home order (which currently expires May 18).

If you have questions, call us at (651) 772-8983 and watch our blog for additional info. Our Facebook page is a great place to stay updated on Animal Ark.

A reminder that the Give at Home MN campaign is underway!

Let’s get some volunteers back here!
