Animal Ark never wants to risk “donation fatigue.” Our requests for help, both monetary and sweat equity, are based on our love for wayward cats and dogs and our commitment to a No-kill philosophy.
Animal Ark has two pressing needs, detailed below. If you can help, please do. And as always, thank you for supporting Animal Ark!
Amazon Wish List
Click here for Animal Ark’s Amazon Wish List. As you can see, we like to keep certain quantities on hand, particularly during puppy and kitten season. In many cases, we’re on our last case of wet food, our last bag of dog food. Animal Ark’s kennels runneth over with newborn cats and dogs and they’re hungry! Please visit Amazon today and send what you can to our shelter!
Volunteers to feed cats
As noted in this recent blog post, Animal Ark has a desperate need for volunteers to help feed our cats. This would be particularly well-suited to people who live in or near Hastings. We often describe our shelter as “Hastings’ best-kept secret.” We encourage Hastings’ residents who love cats and dogs and want to support our No-kill mission to contact us today. Multiple shifts are available. Some could even be managed during a lunch hour. Perfect for retirees or college students who find themselves relegated to distance learning, volunteering at Animal Ark is a great way to meet new friends, mingle with people in an age of distancing, and most importantly: To help our residents.
Please call Shenae at 651-772-8983 if you’re able to help.
By volunteering as a Cat Feeder you’ll help cats like June, our inspirational paralyzed feline. June has become Animal Ark’s mascot of sorts, amazing us with her ability to climb and chase toys despite having lost the use of her hind legs. We still seek a home willing to care for this Special Need cat, but in the meantime you can volunteer and serve as her surrogate Forever Family!
