It’s #Foster Friday at Animal Ark! Last week we featured a trio of cats who remain available for foster or forever homes. This week we continue the feline theme with a friendly, lovely cat named Maddie.

Regular readers of our blog know that Animal Ark has its share of “boomerang” pets, animals that for whatever reason left our shelter for forever homes, only to find their way back. And that’s okay. At Animal Ark we realize life happens, and we’d rather accept an animal back into our care than risk it being set loose outdoors…or worse.

Maddie is a rare double-boomerang. She left Animal Ark for her first forever home, but the appearance of grandchildren in the home made Maddie feisty, to say the least. Needless to say we knew that a home without children was crucial for Maddie.

Maddie found her second forever home and we celebrated! Unfortunately, health issues in the home necessitated Maddie returning as a “crisis hold.” The hold turned permanent and now Maddie is once again seeking a home. Maddie is adjusting as well as can be expected, given all the twists and turns. However, she’s understandably stressed and could do with some stability for a change.

Maddie would be perfect for a foster home. She’s six years old, playful and loving, and like most cats Maddie will let you know when she’s had enough attention, dismissing you with a swipe of her paw after which she’ll return to snoozing in the sun. Maddie is very healthy, but as a foster you needn’t worry if medical attention ends up being needed: When you foster for Animal Ark, we pay for everything. You simply provide the roof over her head and, of course, the love and…crucially for Maddie…stability.
