Animal Ark goes global.

Animal Ark’s global reach.

Astute visitors to the Animal Ark web page might have noticed the Global Partnering option under the Programs drop-down menu. As noted on that page, Animal Ark partners with rescues not just in the United States, but also areas as far as away as the Middle East and Mexico. The page features a touching video illustrating how Animal Ark, in partnership with other rescues, is helping animals quite literally across the globe.

Our Executive Manager, Lorraine Royal, is putting the finishing touches on yet another global partnership that Animal Ark will announce very soon. What we can say at the moment is that it’s a very exciting venture that will save many, many animals from a terrible fate.

Since becoming Executive Manager of Animal Ark, Lorraine has worked ’round the clock managing the operations of our shelter. Transport, intake, adoption, medical care, cleaning cages, walking dogs…the list of her responsibilities goes on and on. During the peak of the COVID crisis, Lorraine was literally a 24/7 presence at Animal Ark for many days, making sure that our cats and dogs got the care, exercise and affection they needed while we were short on volunteers. She’s the very definition of a hands-on manager. Our staff, volunteers and residents are eternally grateful to her. Her passion for animals shows in everything she does.

Your donations help ensure Lorraine has the resources she needs to keep Animal Ark functioning. Whether we’re helping street dogs in Saudi Arabia or wayward kittens in Hastings, it’s your donations that make it possible. We encourage you to make a donation today, and keep your eye on our website for future details about our exciting new global partnership.

Your donations provide a safe, loving environment for dogs like Hank ’til they find their forever homes. Thanks for your ongoing support of Animal Ark!

I’m Hank, a somewhat quiet, but friendly, male Lab/Shepherd mix. I’m 3 years old and came to Animal Ark all the way from North Dakota. Another rescue group found me and knew I needed a chance for a better life. So now I’m at Animal Ark, waiting for my forever people to find me. The staff says I’m a mellow guy who can be kind of particular about my fellow canines. That means if you have another dog, a meet and greet would be in order before I could go home with you. I may need some time to adjust but I’ve got a laid back personality and should do fine with just about anyone. Stop by and let’s see if we were meant for each other!
